Cyclist seriously hurt in collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was hit by a car outside McDonalds in Douglas.


The collision occurred just after 5pm yesterday (Tuesday) at the entrance off Peel Road, leaving the cyclist with serious injuries.


A police spokesman said: 'The incident happened during a busy time and there were lots of pedestrians and other vehicles around. The police are keen to hear from anybody who was in the vicinity at the relevant time who may have witnessed anything
regarding this incident.'
