Island marks World AIDS Day

by isleofman.com 1st December 2015

Landmarks and government buildings will be lit up red today (Dec 1) to mark World AIDS Day.

The Isle of Man HIV Support Group has organised the event locally. The Tower of Refuge, 'Wedding Cake' building, Ramsey swing bridge and the power station are included.

A spokesman said: 'World AIDS Day is important because it reminds the public and Government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education particularly on the Island.'
