Christmas cheer at the Curraghs Wildlife Park

by isleofman.com 30th November 2015
Visitors to the Curraghs Wildlife Park in December can benefit from a Christmas treat - a free return visit.

Anyone purchasing a ticket for the park during December can show it again in either December or January and be readmitted without charge.

David Cretney MLC, Member of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture with responsibility for the park, said: ‘Many of our visitors return to the park several times a year to see their favourite animals and attractions and now, by calling to see us in December, they can enjoy another day out free of charge, valid until 31st January.’

Meanwhile, if you are stuck for a Christmas gift idea, memberships, family and individual tickets and animal experiences make great presents, Mr Cretney said.

‘Annual memberships are available in a variety of combinations depending on the size of your family and offer year-round admission and benefits such as 10% discount in the shop and 10% off hot food and drinks in the cafe,’ Mr Cretney said. ‘With the average member visiting 18 times a year, they represent great value.

‘If you have relatives visiting the Island during 2016, then a 14-day family ticket can be purchased in advance, as a gift, as well as single-visit family ticket and individual tickets,’ Mr Cretney said.

‘Animal experiences offer the chance to join a keeper as he/she looks after the meerkats, penguins, lemurs, owls, snakes and coatis.’

During winter, the park is open from 10am-4pm (last entry 3pm) on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and during school holidays.
