‘The success of this year’s Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival and the appointment of a Food Business Development Manager have been major milestones in the delivery of the strategy.
‘However, we have much more work to do to do grow the value of the sector from ?75 million to ?125 million over the next decade.
‘Mr Boot’s business background will bring valuable experience to the delivery of the strategy,’ the Minister added.
‘We are already working closely with the Department of Economic Development to grow this important sector and Mr Boot’s membership of that department, too, will ensure these good links are strengthened further.’
