New member sought for Preservation of War Memorials Committee

The deadline for applications is fast approaching for anyone interested in serving on the Isle of Man Government Preservation of War Memorials Committee.

In information pack outlining the role and responsibilities is available on the Government website at https://www.gov.im//public-appointments

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Monday 23 November.

The Committee encourages the appropriate preservation and safekeeping of all HM Forces, Merchant Navy and other war memorials and war graves in the Isle of Man. It also maintains a register of all memorials.

The Council of Ministers is looking to appoint a member to the Committee with an interest in education, media and community outreach.

Application forms can be completed and submitted electronically via the web page. Alternatively, printed versions are available from the Cabinet Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, IM1 3PN, tel: 685711 or e-mail: publicappointments@cso.gov.im.
