Dress up as Santa and chase the Christmas pudding down the Douglas Promenade to raise money for the British Heart Foundation’s life saving research.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling on everyone to get in the Christmas spirit and join the fight against heart disease by signing up for its Chase the Pud fun run around Douglas Promenade on Saturday 5 December.
The annual festive fundraiser is the perfect way to get friends and family together for a 2k run, jog or walk, whilst raising money for the BHF’s life saving research.
Last year, the national events saw over 1,000 people don Santa costumes and chase the Christmas pudding in cities across the UK, raising over ?27,000 for life saving research.
Carl Jones, Fundraising Manager for Chase the Pud said: “When you think of Christmas pudding, you probably don’t think about running after one, but Chase the Pud is a great way to work up an appetite for the festive period! It’s always a really fun event to get people into the Christmas spirit whilst raising money for the BHF’s vital research into heart and circulatory disease.”
Chase the Pud is suitable for all ages and the route is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and can be finished at the participant’s own pace.
Tickets for Chase the Pud are available now and are ?10 for adults (?12 on the day), which includes a Santa suit and free for children under 14. Children are encouraged to dress up for the event as their favourite Christmas character.
