Car parking controversy back for vote

by isleofman.com 17th November 2015

A bid to see members of Tynwald and civil servants pay to park in central Douglas comes back before the parliament today (Tuesday).

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne is bringing his motion before Tynwald for a combined vote of both chambers. At last month's sitting the Legislative Council voted against the move.

Today, Tony Wild MLC will move an amendment so that the measure will apply to members of Tynwald only, and not to all public servants until staff and unions have had their say.
