Free festive parking

by isleofman.com 16th November 2015

It will be free to park on the Douglas promenade walkway at the weekends and on Thursday evenings over the Christmas period.

The Department of Infrastructure says the concessions have been made as part of efforts to support the town centre economy during the busiest time of year for retailers.

Pay and display parking will be available between the War Memorial and the bottleneck car park from November 26 to January 25. Motorists will be able to park free of charge there on Thursdays after 5pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from November 26
until December 31 to coincide with peak shopping times.
