One of the oldest structures on Douglas promenade will be the subject of a Tynwald question tomorrow (Tuesday).
The former Castle Mona Hotel has fallen into disrepair since its closure. Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants to know whether it is still a registered building and, if so, what inspections have been carried out to assess its internal and external state over the past 12 months.
He will ask Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan what safeguards are in place 'to ensure the building does not suffer the same fate as have other registered buildings in the past'.
