by isleofman.com 16th November 2015
The Tynwald Christmas carol service will be held at the Church of St Mary of the Isle, Hill Street, Douglas at 1.10pm on Wednesday December 16th.

The President of Tynwald, the Hon Clare Christian, welcomes members of the public and the local business community to join members and officers of Tynwald, some of whom will be singing in the choir, for the service, the programme for which will include a selection of Manx music, some pieces familiar, others less well known, along with works from further afield.

Extending the invitation Madam President said: ‘I understand how busy December can be for many businesses and households but I would be delighted to welcome all those who have the time to join with us in celebration of Christmas in song and prayer.’

A retiring collection will be made and the service is expected to finish at approximately 2pm, after which those attending are invited to stay for a cup of tea and a mince pie.
