Moore Stephens receives ISO certification for second year running

by isleofman.com 16th November 2015
Following its annual surveillance audit by Bill Slocombe and Roger Varley of World Certification Services, Moore Stephens Isle of Man (“MSIOM”) retained its prestigious international ISO 9001:2008 certification. At the end of 2014, MSIOM became unique as the first firm in its industry in the Isle of Man to earn this certification.

“Naturally we are very proud as it definitely sets us apart and gives clients and other ISO certified companies confidence in what they can expect from us,” said Partner Andrew Dixon, “Our entire team worked incredibly hard to achieve this accreditation in 2014, and this demonstrates we have maintained that effort through the past twelve months.”

Annual surveillance audits are integral to an entity retaining the ISO 9001 certification, assuring ongoing conformity to strict international standards, confirming management systems remain effective and encouraging continual improvement with the strategic goal of enhancing customer service and profitability.

Celeste Green, the firm’s HR executive who leads both MSIOM’s ISO 9001 and Investors in People projects, said, “I’m so pleased all the hard work has paid off, although to be honest, the team found it incredibly challenging at times. It is not easy.”

ISO certification requires a firm to have in place specific procedures conforming to international set standards to ensure the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction. Companies who earn ISO certification are subject to ongoing rigorous regular audits by external certified bodies to retain the demanding certification.

“I am very proud of our team and the continual hard work they put into the ISO 9001 project,” said Clive Dixon, managing partner at Moore Stephens. “Our stakeholders, existing and future clients can be assured of our high international standards of professionalism, expertise and service.”
