Could you be Citywing's 2016 Charity of the Year?

by isleofman.com 13th November 2015
Citywing is looking for Isle of Man organisations interested in becoming its Charity of the Year for 2016.

Throughout the year, the chosen charity receives support from Citywing including a number of return tickets to be used for fundraising purposes, the donation of proceeds from the popular annual ‘Plane Pull’ event, a promotional video shown on flights and further assistance promoting the charity’s work.

Managing Director David Buck said: ‘We have really enjoyed working with Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust as Citywing’s 2015 Charity of the Year. We are delighted that this partnership has helped to both raise funds for and awareness of the charity.

‘We feel that it is both a responsibility and a pleasure for Citywing, as part of the Island’s community, to give support to the important work the charity sector carries out in the Isle of Man.

‘We look forward to being involved with another charity next year, and hope to hear from a broad range of charitable organisations to consider as our 2016 Charity of the Year.’

Ron Spencer, Chairman of Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust, added: ‘It has been a pleasure working with Citywing and the team has been a fantastic help to us as the chosen charity for 2015. The return tickets provided for fundraising have been used as auction prizes at various fundraising events throughout the year for us, and for off-Island training travel.

‘The Plane Pull was a particularly great success and attracted a lot of teams and spectators – everybody involved had a thoroughly enjoyable day. It was a fun way for the community to show their support and we are very grateful to Citywing for their assistance with this event, which raised more than ?2,300 for the charity.'

If your charity is interested in partnering with Citywing in 2016, please email Donna Sloane at donna@citywing.com by 23rd November 2015. A decision will be made by Citywing’s senior management team, and applicants will be informed by 30th November 2015.
