Thirty per cent voter turnout

Just 159 votes secured the Douglas East seat in the House of Keys for Jon Joughin.


The ex-Douglas Councillor beat six other by-election candidates to win the seat. Mr Joughin, a former postman, will serve his constituency for 10 months, ahead of the General Election next September.


The voter turnout was 865.
