The club hosted another successful Sponsors Lunch on Wednesday to say thank you for the support the club receives through for tournaments and banner rentals, fro a wide variety of companies. In welcoming the guests, Club President, Bryan Sharp, said the club faced annual expenses of approximately ?30,000 for electric, oil, rates, clubhouse and grounds maintenance, coaching, equipment, affiliation fees etc. Without the generous support of the companies present and others these outgoings could not be sustained. This is why the club holds the lunch each year as a token of appreciation. He mentioned the next event at the club – The Night at the Races on Friday 20 November– and said” If you have never put ?1 on a pig to win, you haven’t lived”.
An excellent lunch was provided and served by Jan Gaskill, Fran Shacklock, Barbara McNeill and Hilary Power. Chairman, Stuart Colligon, thanked them on behalf of the club and guests.
