Police Student Constable to pull Police van along promenade for charity

by isleofman.com 12th November 2015
Student Constables have arranged a charity event for Sunday 22nd November 2015 from 11am on Douglas Promenade.

Raising money for The Children's Ward at Noble's Hospital, the Student Officers will be pulling a Police Van continuously along Douglas Promenade from the War Memorial to the Sea Terminal.

Sergeant Paul Kemp of the Staff Development Centre said, “This has been arranged by the Student Officers in their own time and all credit to them as due to some logistical difficulties, a high amount of resilience and flexibility has been necessary to get things arranged – a good experience for when they become operational though!! We are pleased that the Children’s Ward at Nobles have allowed our Student Officers to work with them to raise funds as it is such a worthy cause.”

More updates can be found on the Charity Event Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/754980731312074/

Please come down and show your support & help raise money for our island's children.
