Heather Gordon, Legal Counsel for the ICM Group, will be attending the International Institute of Space Commerce event held at the Manx Museum Lecture Theatre, Douglas on the Isle of Man, on the 25th of November.
Heather has recently been appointed as a director of the International Institute of Space Commerce, which is the world’s leading nonpartisan think-tank dedicated to the study of the business, economics, and commerce of space.
The event will be sponsored by SES and will be an opportunity to discover how spaceflight works, what the business of it is, why satellites are important, and an overview of how the satellite business operates in practice. Martin Halliwell, Chief Technical Offer for SES, responsible for all engineering activities within SES, satellite procurement and operations along with the associated ground infrastructure, will be speaking at the event.
Heather commented:
“I am very much looking forward to the conference as I have always had a fascination with spaceflight and a passion for the industry. The satellite business is incredibly important to everyone’s lives.”
She continued:
“I have always enjoyed learning about the technical aspects of space rockets and the physics to get them into orbit. Martin Halliwell is a wonderful speaker so the event should be very engaging!”
The event will be open to the general public and will take place from 12 noon until 3pm; admission is free.
