Jurby farmhouse burgled

On Tuesday 3rd November 2015 it was discovered that a property, Ballateare Farmhouse on the Jurby Coast Road, had been broken into and property stolen from within.

Persons unknown had broken in through a main entrance door and once inside removed a copper water tank from an upstairs room, the persons then left the water running causing severe damage to floors and ceilings within the property.

Furniture was also stolen during the burglary; a cream/light coloured carpet together with a settee.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone that has any knowledge of the damage and theft to contact Ramsey Police on 812234.

The investigating officer in the case is PC246 Adam Hawkes who said “THE THEFT AND DAMAGE IN THIS INSTANCE IS MINDLESS AND UPSETTING TO THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE PROPERTY. THIS CRIME SERVES AS A TIMELY REMINDER TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO WATCH OUT FOR VEHICLES AND PEOPLE ACTING SUSPICIOUSLY. THE POLICE URGE ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO CONTACT RAMSEY POLICE STATION ON 812234”.
