Isle of Man signs tax co-operation agreement with Romania

The Isle of Man has signed a Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with Romania.

The TIEA was signed during a ceremony in London on 4 November 2015, by His Excellency Mihnea Ioan Motoc, Romania Ambassador in London and Hon. Eddie Teare MHK, the Isle of Man’s Treasury Minister.

Minister Teare said, “The Isle of Man Government welcomes the signing of a Tax Information Exchange Agreement with Romania. This is the Island’s 34th TIEA and its 44th agreement that meets the OECD international standard on tax co-operation and transparency. The signing of this agreement demonstrates the Island’s longstanding commitment to international standards in tax transparency and effective exchange of information.”
