Land at Knockaloe Farm is being offered for short-term let for grazing while the longer term future of the site is determined.
Five-year tenancies of the land and buildings recently expired.
Central Marts is advertising grazing licences for land, which could commence from the 16th November 2015 expiring on 12th November 2016 – http://www.centralmarts.co.uk.
Richard Ronan MHK, Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, said this would enable the land to be put to use while the longer term future of Knockaloe is agreed.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) ceased to operate the 337-acre farm in 2010. It has historic significance as it housed internees during World War One.
Working with the local MHK, commissioners and community, DEFA is investigating future uses for the farm that will create an attraction that offers economic development while paying heed to its history and traditional uses.
To inquire about the land, contact Central Marts on 822372/454926 by Tuesday 10 November, in advance of the auction at 12:30pm on Wednesday 11 November 2015 at Knockaloe Mart.
