Call for independent health regulator

by isleofman.com 30th October 2015

A robust regulatory system for healthcare should be put in place - that's according to Kate Beecroft MHK, who is seeking leave to introduce a bill into the House of Keys next week.

Mrs Beecroft said this would be different to the West Midlands Quality Review body that has been investigating healthcare provision, adding: 'Regardless of what they found during their reviews, they can only recommend that we do something about it. I firmly believe that we need a more robust system to take over when the West Midlands team has completed its review.'
