Gas prices in Keys

by isleofman.com 27th October 2015

An increase in the standing charge for Manx Gas customers is the subject of a question in the House of Keys today.

Chief Minister Allan Bell will be asked by Onchan MHK Peter Karran what action he intends to take to respond to the changes in gas prices.

Manx Gas says the new charging system is cost neutral and the Office of Fair Trading, which now has a regulatory role, has agreed.
However, pressure group the Celtic League has warned the measure means vulnerable people will have to decide whether to 'heat or eat'.
