Border security concern

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson will be quizzed in Tynwald this week over his plans for border controls at the island's gateways.


Following concerns from Chief Constable Gary Roberts about a lack of security, particularly at the Sea Terminal, Mr Watterson said he was investigating the potential for identification procedures to be put in place (see our MTTV interview with the Minister at

In Tynwald question time, Mr Watterson will be asked by Onchan MHK David Quirk what plans he has to increase security measures at the airport and Sea Terminal.
