Simcocks has been named Isle of Man Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year in the Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2015.
The awards sets out to recognise the achievements of lawyers and law firms who have a proven track record in delivering results for their clients over the past 12 months.
One of the award co-ordinators Matthew Black said: “The awards celebrate firms that have achieved success in commercial terms and firm that have responded to client needs; whilst also considering the different challenges and contexts in which legal firms operate. Based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas, Simcocks employ more than 40 people and provide an extensive range of legal services broadly grouped into the areas of dispute resolution, corporate and commercial and private client.
The dispute resolution team specialise in international corporate and commercial litigation and has an impressive track record of dealing in high value multi-jurisdictional disputes. Its technical knowledge generates many referrals and it has considerable experience dealing with a range of commercial disputes with particular emphasis on trust and shareholder matters, emergency injunctive and discovery remedies and judicial review applications. Simcocks also advise on human rights issues, financial services and compliance regulatory matters, individual and corporate insolvency, employment, family law, personal injury claims, licensing, planning and disputes relating to property.
