'Masterplan' for Ronaldsway

by isleofman.com 7th October 2015

The first steps have been taken in the development of a so-called masterplan for Ronaldsway.

Workshops involving those who have land or property in the area, including existing high-tech manufacturing businesses, have been held with the aim of creating a framework for development.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly said: 'The Ronaldsway area is a key point of entry and business gateway to the Isle of Man. The workshops were created to identify the initial views on the role of the area in the future, the markets it needs to develop and the actions needed to support its development over the next 10 to 15 years.'

The government says the project will bring extra jobs to the south of the island.
