Appleby name Offshore Firm of the Year by Legal 500 UK

by isleofman.com 6th October 2015

Leading offshore law firm Appleby has been named the Legal 500 UK 2015 ‘Firm of the Year’ in the Offshore category. The Legal 500 UK Awards seek to identify the most capable, expert firms operating across a number of different areas of law.

Faye Moffett, Managing Partner at Appleby’s Isle of Man office, said: “We are honoured to be named the Offshore Firm of the Year by the Legal 500 and the network of in-house lawyers whose opinions determined the outcome.

“Our lawyers have dedicated themselves to serving the offshore legal needs of our clients, and recognition like this reinforces the talent, commitment and knowledge of Appleby people across the many jurisdictions where we operate.

“It is more good news for the Isle of Man office, coming just a few days after it was confirmed we had achieved Tier 1 status across nine practice areas in the Legal 500 2015 UK guide, and saw 16 of our lawyers receive individual recognition, including seven who were commended as Leading Individuals.”

The Legal 500 Awards are based on the opinions of the 250,000 in-house lawyers contacted by Legal 500 researchers throughout the year, as well as in-depth research conducted by Legal 500 staff. The full list of categories and winners is available at: www.legal500.com/assets/pages/awards/awards-home.html

As an offshore legal services provider, Appleby advises on the principal areas of corporate, dispute resolution, property, and private client and trusts.
