Local Insurance firm support charity with "Manxwoman" policy

by isleofman.com 1st October 2015
Once again, anyone who takes out a Manxman Motor Insurance policy in October will notice that Kestrel Insurance has changed the name of one of its popular brands.

Like last year, ‘Manxwoman’ is part of a month long campaign that Kestrel is dedicating its’ time to, in order to help raise money and awareness for the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group – the charity behind raising funds to open a dedicated unit to support those who are diagnosed with breast cancer on the Island.

Marketing Executive Natasha Carter said, ‘Last year we raised ?1003.94 by turning Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year we want everyone’s help to try and beat this target. This is a charity that is close to the hearts of many of our employees and clients so it seemed only fitting that we try and make ‘Manxwoman’ a pivotal part of our annual calendar of events.

‘Being able to raise money for a charity that aims to treat patients’ and support their family right here on the Island is invaluable and this is why we’re so grateful that the charity has agreed for us to assist them in their fundraising once again this year.’

'In order to help raise money and awareness, we will be inviting all of our customers (not just those taking out a Manxwoman policy) to round their premium up and 100% of the extra money will be donated to the local charity. Whether that be to the nearest one, ten, fifty or one hundred pounds, every little helps the charity go one step further towards its target.'

In addition to this Kestrel will also be arranging a variety of in-house events, including participating in National Pink Day for the Isle of Woman, whilst anyone can pop in and buy a Manx Breast Cancer Support Group badge from any of their branches.

The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group is now working hard to raise money to equip the facility with everything needed to develop a fully functional Breast Care Unit, so please join Kestrel in helping to raise as much money as possible for a local charity looking to support those most in need.
