The funeral of a leading member of the Manx community takes place tomorrow (Thursday).
Hundreds of mourners are expected to attend to pay their respects to John Kennaugh and special traffic arrangements will be in place.
The funeral takes place at St Johns Methodist church on the main road at 1.30pm. Because of the numbers expected, police will be diverting all traffic from the area from 12.30pm until no later than 3pm. Bus routes have also been altered.
A stalwart of the farming industry, Mr Kennaugh was also well known as a broadcaster on Manx Radio and was chairman of German commissioners as well as Captain of the Parish. He died after a short illness and was described in tributes as a 'great Manxman, broadcaster, farmer, raconteur and Christian'.
