Another chance to see Crossag plans

by isleofman.com 29th September 2015

Ballasalla residents can now view proposals for a major housing development in the village at the offices of Malew Commissioners.

More than 70 people attended a one-day exhibition last week in the village hall. The first phase of the development is to build 35 houses on the Crossags farm site. The long term plans allow for a school.

There's an opportunity comment on the plans, which are on display from today (Tuesday) for two weeks.

The government's director of housing, Debbie Reeve said: 'The exhibition last Wednesday generated a great deal of interest and discussion about the proposed development of part of the Crossag Farm site, including issues such as the type of housing, drainage, traffic management and footpaths.

'All feedback will be taken into consideration as part of the Department’s commitment to supporting any further development of the village of Ballasalla in a carefully managed and sustainable way.’
