Police appeal after burglary

by isleofman.com 25th September 2015
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred overnight (Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd September 2015) at a property on Bray Hill, Douglas.

Person(s) entered the insecure property and have then taken items of value including an Apple iPad and a “Contour” GoPro style of camera (similiar to photo).

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department are working closely with uniformed colleagues and are carrying out further enquiries in the area but want to take this opportunity to urge resident’s island wide to ensure that they take basic steps to protect their property by locking their doors and windows. The message is clear don’t let a burglar think no one is home and take basic steps to secure your home.

If you are offered such items for sale please consider where they have come from, ask the seller for some proof of original purchase. If you are suspicious then please contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or alternatively you can give your information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
