The MPN today announced its first stop of the 2016 MPN Poker Tour (MPNPT). The event will take place at the Montesino Casino in Vienna, Austria. The festival will run from January 21st – 24th, and its Main Event will feature a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000.
Online satellites to the Main Event have already begun, and are attracting lots of participants after the hugely successful MPNPT event in Dublin earlier this month, which attracted 570 players from around the world.
Every MPNPT Vienna €1,500 package includes:
• €550 entry to the Main Event
• €150 entry into a side event
• Accommodation for four nights at the Roomz Hotel
• Invitation to a welcome drinks party
• Money towards travel and expenses
“Our event in Dublin had a huge prize pool of €256,500 and we expect to beat that with the Vienna festival,” said Alex Scott, Head of Poker at Microgaming. “Vienna is an amazing city that can only be made better by a weekend of top-quality poker action”.
The MPN Poker Tour was founded in May 2014, and has grown from an upstart festival in London to a major international poker series within just 18 months. Further 2016 events are being planned and will be announced throughout the year.
