The Sefton Group has appointed Joanne Durber social media marketing assistant.
Born and raised in the Isle of Man, Ms Durber is a University of Chester English Literature graduate. She has worked for one of the island’s leading legal practices as website project co-ordinator during which time she received the Isle of Man STEP scheme’s Most Enterprising Runner-Up Student award. While studying on the Ella Olesen scholarship at the University of Idaho she also spent time as a radio reporter and contributed to a number of publications both there and in the Isle of Man.
Of her appointment she said: ‘The Sefton Group is a forward-looking, diverse operation and social media is an integral element for promoting the group’s distinct brands and connecting instantly with the customer. I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to contribute to what is an extremely dynamic marketing team.’
Marketing manager Nicola Wilkinson said: ‘The Sefton Group has long recognised the importance of social media as a vital communication channel through which we can engage with our customers and alert them to our many products and services. Our online presence is growing, as is our following, so I am pleased to welcome Joanne with her accomplished digital skills to the team.’
