Browne Craine sponsors local netball team

by isleofman.com 17th September 2015
Browne Craine & Co (“Browne Craine”) is pleased to announce the sponsorship of a local premier netball team – The Toomraiders, now formally known as the Browne Craine Toomraiders.

“We’d like to thank Browne Craine for their support this season,” said Ellie Looney, Captain of the Browne Craine Toomraiders. “As a team we have enjoyed playing in the premier division for the past eight seasons and have finished in fourth place for the last three seasons. We are hoping for a top three position this year!”

Browne Craine wanted to support the sport and give something back to the community. Netball on the Isle of Man is continuing to increase in popularity due to “back to netball” clubs and the on-going dedication the Manx Netball Association gives to promoting and developing netball on the Island.

“I’m pleased we are sponsoring The Browne Craine Toomraiders this season,” said David Craine, director at Browne Craine. “Being part of a sports team not only helps to keep you fit and healthy but it helps individuals build and develop their team skills. I’d like to wish them the best of luck for the forthcoming season.”

Last weekend The Browne Craine Toomraiders participated in a pre-season friendly tournament. The team’s first match on the 20th September is against Thompson Purple and is expected to be a close game to the start of the season.
