Delay to sewage pipe investigation

by isleofman.com 16th September 2015

Specialist divers will examine the damage to the sewage outfall pipe at Peel next week, sea conditions permitting.

They had been due to investigate on Monday but have been delayed by a week.

Meanwhile, Manx Utilities says the water quality in Peel bay is good. The standard had dropped to poor after the leak, which is from a pipe next to the jetty on Peel beach. Bathers were being advised to exercise caution in the area.
