Police appeal for witnesses after property vandalised again

by isleofman.com 14th September 2015

Between 10th and 25th August 2015, a property on The Promenade, Castletown has been the subject to acts of vandalism which is believed to be a targeted attack against the owner of the property.

On both occasions there has been significant damage caused to the property which has cost the owner thousands of pounds to make good the repair, naturally this has caused the owner a great deal of distress.

Police enquiries surrounding this matter continue and PC Taylor, the officer heading the investigation has appealed for any person with information to come forward.

PC Taylor commented: ‘I am confident that this is a targeted attack against the owner of the property, I am also satisfied that the owner of the property is not linked to any form of criminality and would urge the public not to speculate. Given the damage caused to the property, I am sure there is people who will have knowledge of the offences being committed or indeed know the offender(s), this is an appeal for anyone with any information to come forward and assist Police with our enquiries.

‘I would urge people in the area to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Police straight away.'

Police would like anyone who may have knowledge of this incident or the persons responsible to contact Castletown Policing Team on 822543. Alternatively information can be left on the Isle of Man Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
