Next deadline to register to vote

by isleofman.com 14th September 2015

With another by-election looming in Douglas East, people are being urged to make sure they are eligible to vote.

The next deadline for those not already on the electoral register, which is revised every three months, is this Thursday (September 17).

A spokesman for the Cabinet Office said: 'As recent by-election experience has shown, individual votes really can make a difference in the Isle of Man, but it is legally impossible to vote unless you have ensured your inclusion on the electoral register.'

Island residents who need to register, or who are unsure whether they are already registered to vote, can contact the electoral registration unit at the Cabinet Office, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, email voters@gov.im or call 685754.
