A motorcycle pillion passenger is in a serious condition in hospital after a collision in St Marks village on Saturday (September 5).

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which involved a UK registered Honda bike and a white LDV panel van. It occurred at about 2.25pm. The road had to be closed for five hours so the scene could be investigated.

The motorcycle rider was treated at Noble's hospital and discharged, while his passenger was flown to a UK hospital where she is said to remain in a serious condition. The van driver was uninjured.

There was significant damage to both vehicles.
