The Department of Education says it hopes to have a new Isle of Man College principal in place by early 2016.
As the new term gets under way, Geoff Draper has quit after less than two years as principal.
In a memo to staff, department chief executive Ronald Barr said Mr Draper is returning to the UK to pursue other career opportunities. It leaves the college without a principal at a time when there is also a vacancy for the role of vice principal.
There's a meeting tomorrow (Friday) of all college middle managers. Mr Barr has told staff the senior leadership team will be managing the college until the vacancies can be filled and reporting directly to him.
