Chris Moon is to be the after-dinner guest speaker at this year’s ICSA Isle of Man Annual Dinner, sponsored by RBS International, at the Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino, Douglas, on Friday 9th October 2015.
Chris Moon is a motivational speaker who was blown up in Africa clearing landmines and lost his lower arm and leg. Less than a year after leaving hospital he completed the London Marathon and now runs the world's toughest ultra-marathons. He’s one of the few Westerners to have survived being taken prisoner by Khmer Rouge guerrillas.
As a motivational speaker for over 10 years, Chris has worked with blue chip companies, world-class public organisations and progressive governments from across the globe, helping to inspire their leaders and empower their people to go the extra mile.
ICSA Chief Executive Simon Osborne will attend the dinner and present prizes and awards to students as part of the evening.
The evening will also include a charity raffle in support of the Special Olympics Isle of Man and the Hyperbaric Chamber.
Bill Shimmins, Island Director, RBS International: “We are delighted to sponsor the ICSA Isle of Man Annual Dinner, which is a fitting opportunity to recognise the important contribution of Chartered Secretaries and the Isle of Man’s continued success as an international business centre.”
Adrian Tinkler, ICSA Isle of Man Chairman, “We are very excited to welcome Chris Moon to our dinner and would like to thank RBS International for their support again, and to Appleby for sponsoring the pre-dinner Drinks Reception for what promises to be a great event.”
