Triskelion Polo Club is run by General Manager Frazer Houston and his brother Cameron who are both experienced polo players and all-round horsemen. Frazer said: “After the success of the polo matches on Ballaugh beach earlier this year, the HM Army Reserves polo team were very keen to return for a rematch. We’re delighted that they have agreed to come back to the Island so soon, but this time to play at our Great Meadow polo grounds. Apart from Cameron, who is team captain and club coach, the Triskelion team will include players who have all recently learned to play the game through our polo school. The Army Reserves will provide tough opposition, but it will be a great contest and a great occasion. We hope it will encourage many spectators yet to see polo to come along and experience one of the Island’s fastest growing sports.”
There will be an Army Reserves recruitment stand at the grounds on Saturday September 12.
And a final massive thank you to whoever is in charge of the weather we had this weekend. The Isle of Man was at it's finest.
If anybody knows the gentleman who opened the gate to his field to allow spectators to park there for the match please let us know as we have a present for his generosity.
