'Cheater' facebook page deleted

by isleofman.com 20th August 2015

A facebook page that claimed to have a database of local names involved in the Ashley Madison scandal has been deleted hours after it was set up.

It had threatened to reveal that more than 3,000 people had registered with the cheaters' website, which was hacked recently, exposing the details of millions of accounts worldwide.

Whoever is behind the facebook page said it had the full list of emails of Isle of Man residents and would be posting them online at 8pm tonight (Thursday).

However, the threat of legal action has resulted in the deletion of the page - but not before some information was released.

The hackers have released all the data on the 'dark web'.
