Two arrested in heroin seizure

A 27 year old man from Liverpool and a 38 year old local woman will appear in court today in connection with importing drugs.


Police seized heroin with a street value of more than ?4,000 in an operation carried out yesterday (Monday).


Detective Sergeant Paul Holland said: 'Again we see heroin being imported and supplied locally. We will continue to focus on the individuals responsible and deal with them swiftly. This is a nasty and particularly dirty drug that we don’t want on our Island.'


The man has been charged with drug offences and money laundering, while the woman is charged with money laundering.
