Works to prepare the mountain section of the TT course for this month's motorsport event are going ahead today (Tuesday).

It means the road between Ramsey hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa back road will be closed from 9.30am to 4.30pm. The road was due to have been closed for the day yesterday but work was postponed because of the weather conditions.

The Festival of Motorcycling, formerly known as the Manx Grand Prix, gets under way on August 22.
