The top two sides in the Isle of Man Premiership won on Sunday to set up a cliff-hanger climax to the league next week-end.
Peel & St John’s beat Ramsey by ten wickets while Cronkbourne’s victory at Crosby was also by ten wickets. The Saints maintain their 13 point gap over the Douglas team who must now beat their rivals in the final game at Mullen-e-Cloie to take the title.
The Saints were in great form at Ramsey, dismissing the home side for 103. Nick Hawke did most of the damage by taking 3 -13 from six tight overs.
Ollie Webster and Chris Hawke then knocked off the runs in just 11 overs. Webster made 37 and Hawke hit 58, which included 6 fours and 4 sixes.
Crosby batted first against Cronkbourne and were in a very good position at 109 for 1. Danny and Kevin Kniveton were playing well and the Douglas club looked in trouble.
Max Stokoe then had Danny caught by Jaco Jansen for 38 and quickly followed this by dismissing Kevin for 29.
From there Crosby lost wickets at a steady rate and had no answer to Alex Stokoe who mopped up the lower order with 3 -14 from five overs.
Ben Kebbell struck a timely 21, but the side ended on 150.
Max Stokoe and Adam McAuley then batted sensibly and won the game with an undefeated partnership of 152 in 24 overs. This goes with their record breaking stand of 360 last week.
Stokoe cracked 68, including 6 fours and 2 sixes while McAuley’s 66 contained 8 fours.
The fixture between Valkyres and Castletown was washed out by the rain without a ball being bowled.

There are key matches in the Cain League on Wednesday evening. With just one game to go, Ramsey B are in the number one position, but only one point ahead of Crosby.
Ramsey are at home to Cronkbourne B who need a victory to avoid possible relegation. Crosby go away to face fourth placed Peel and St John’s B.
If Ramsey win, then the title is theirs. However if they stumble, it is essential that Crosby take all the points at Mullen-e-Cloie.
It is also tight at the bottom of the table with only two points separating Cronkbourne, Finch Hill and Union Mills.
The Finches will need to raise their game away to Valkyres B, while the Millers could be in big trouble against third placed Castletown B who have won five games more than their opponents.
It could be a dramatic night in the Cain.
