PwC Isle of Man management promotions respond to market demands

by isleofman.com 31st July 2015
PwC Isle of Man is delighted to announce the latest promotions due to continued demand for non-audit and advisory services from the firm.

Neil Cowley and Steven Craven have been promoted to Senior Manager in the assurance department. Neil takes a leading role in delivering the firm’s technical expertise in the application of complex UK and International accounting principles, in assisting clients with the introduction of the new FRS102 UK accounting and in the area of corporate reporting and investor relations. Neil has been with PwC Isle of Man since 2002, more recently working with a number of our listed clients, advising them on technical financial accounting and reporting matters.

Steven’s promotion comes at a time when his focus has shifted significantly towards delivering PwC’s data enabled audits. Since beginning his training with PwC in 2005, Steven has, in the last couple of years, been responsible for bringing to life the significant investment by the firm in data analytic audit and data visualization techniques, providing our clients with valuable insights into their businesses. Steven also supports the advisory department in delivering our data assurance offerings and supporting liquidations, forensics and transaction service engagements with large scale data interrogations.

Pam Davy and Nuala Fox have been promoted to Manager within the firm’s risk and compliance function recognizing their significant contribution both internally and externally in the AML and KYC functions. Both Pam and Nuala have worked within operations, risk and compliance at a number of local financial services institutions before beginning their PwC careers in 2011/12. Nuala holds the International Advanced Certificate in Compliance and Financial Crime and Pam the International Diploma in Compliance and has been a Member of the International Compliance Association for 9 years. Together their technical and practical experience is benefitting clients already regulated and those preparing for regulation under the Designated Businesses (Registration and Oversight) Bill.

Ian Clague, Senior Partner at PwC Isle of Man said: ‘We are very pleased to recognise the proven ability of our staff to adapt to new challenges, to provide distinguished client service and to nurture the careers of those around. We congratulate these hard working individuals on their promotions within the firm.

‘We continue to see demand from businesses on the Isle of Man to look for advice and opinion on how to deal with a broad range complex matters and this enabled us to offer these promotional opportunities. It is hugely satisfying to see talented individuals progress through the firm’.
