Successful "TT for IT" open house for MICTA

by isleofman.com 21st July 2015
Over TT practice and race week MICTA held a "TT for IT" open house at its Headquarters in The Forum, the Isle of Man’s only Business Innovation Hub, in Douglas.

Throughout the festival bikers and locals visited The Forum and enjoyed the relaxed and fun atmosphere, The Forum showcased Duke archive footage, live course webcams and Radio TT footage.

MICTA hosted the event as part of its strategy to encourage potential employees and entrepreneurs to look at relocating to the Island to live and work; to meet the demands of the Island’s IT skills shortage.

Employed.im and MICTA members were on hand to advise interested visiting bikers of the opportunities and benefits of working on the Island.

MICTA Code Club members developed a Honda TT Challenge game. Our supporter, Isle of Man Honda, generously donated a Honda Hoodie and T-shirts for prizes to the fastest “riders” of the challenge. Congratulations go to Matthew Roosen who won the Honda TT Challenge.

MICTA Chair, Chris Gledhill commented; ”We would like to thank all our sponsors including Duke Marketing, Isle of Man Honda and eyespy security for their support."

The Manx ICT Association (MICTA) is a totally inclusive organisation which represents supports, promotes and grows, the Island’s ICT Sector.
