NHS boss resignation under scrutiny

by isleofman.com 17th July 2015

Health Minister Howard Quayle is to be quizzed in Tynwald over why his former chief executive resigned after less than a year in the job.

Mark Charters, pictured, left the high profile post last month at short notice. The civil service commission said his resignation was for 'personal reasons' and has declined to comment further.

Malcolm Couch has left his role as the island's chief financial officer to take over the role of chief executive of the Department of Health and Social Care. Mr Charters resignation is the subject of a Tynwald question from Douglas MHK John Houghton next Tuesday.
