Minimum wage review

Workers on the minimum wage are being urged to take part in a government review.


Current minimum wage rates for workers aged 21 and over is ?6.65. This drops to ?6.40 for those aged 18 to 21, ?5.24 for 17 year olds and ?4.67 for 16 year olds.


The minimum wage committee wants to hear the opinions of those on the minimum wage. In addition, the committee is inviting submissions from any interested parties in its review of the minimum wage, including the impact on small businesses, pay structures and competitiveness.


Submissions need to be sent to the Department of Economic Development by the end of July. Visit www.gov.im for more information.
