Laxey Wheel will close for two days next month to allow filming to take place in the latest production to be shot in the Isle of Man.

Billed as the first action comedy feature film to be set on the Isle of Man, the story features MI5 spy Bruce Mindhorn, who flees here to recuperate in our 'temperate microclimate' and becomes the best plain-clothes detective the island has ever seen.

It's the latest production from Scott Free, a company that was set up in 2010 by film maker Ridley Scott. Past productions include Before I Go to Sleep starring Nicole Kidman.

Laxey Wheel will be closed on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 of August.
