On the evening of Friday 3rd of July Isle of Man Post Office representatives including the Chairman and CEO joined the team at Curraghs Wildlife Park to celebrate the Parks 50th anniversary.

As well as the hog roast and unveiling of the Giant Elk sculptor by Minister Richard Ronan, Post Office Chairman Graham Cregeen MHK also presented the audience with the celebratory set of stamps depicting some of the Park’s endangered species captured by Isle of Man Photographic Society. Maxine Cannon then spoke about the stamps and invited members of the audience including local children, members of the Isle of Man Photographic Society as well as the family of the late Patricia Harvey whose photos feature in the stamp issue, to come up and cut a giant celebratory birthday cake provided by the Post Office, decorated with rice paper animal stamp images.

Commenting on the event, Maxine Cannon, Isle of Man Stamps and Coins General Manager said: "It was a beautiful evening celebrating a great Isle of Man success story. I would like to thank everyone that attended and we look forward to more excellent work from Curraghs and anniversaries of the Park.”

Photo taken at the launch anniversary event includes representatives from - Curraghs Wildlife Park, Isle of Man Post Office (including Chairman Graham Cregeen MHK) and Isle of Man Photographic Society as well as Graham Harvey husband of the late Patricia Harvey, Minister Richard Ronan and some local children.
