Government look for local suppliers for energy-related marine developments

by isleofman.com 16th July 2015

The Department of Economic Development is looking for local supply chain options to help support the future development of offshore wind and tidal business within Isle of Man territorial seas.

The opportunities for energy-related marine developments are not limited to wind farms and tidal projects, but potentially also hydrocarbon extraction in the future.

In order to compile a list of potential suppliers, various disciplines have been placed together in the following groups:

-          Development and consent

-          Infrastructure

-          Installation and commissioning

-          Operation and maintenance

-          Professional services

Companies who feel that they can provide the services listed above are asked to respond to an online survey before 10th August 2015 in order to help gauge the level of local support.

For more information regarding the survey or proposed development please contact Richard Cuthbert on 01624 682367 or email richard.cuthbert@gov.im.

The survey can be accessed here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/iomenergysurvey.
